Printmaking + Storytelling, Rooted in Humanity
Hand-carved portraits, letterpress prints, and community-centered work created on the road and in the studio.
The Artist
Iām Aimee Maychack ā a printmaker, storyteller, and wanderer who believes art is a way of making the world feel a little less fractured. My work combines traditional techniques like linocut and letterpress with the deeply human stories I collect across the country.
Every print begins with a conversation. Every piece is made by hand. Everything I create is shaped by connection.
Featured Project
In Plain Sight
A national portrait and interview series honoring trans lives.
Through carved portraits and hand-printed letterpress quotes, In Plain Sight brings forward the voices of transgender individuals from across the United States ā not as headlines, but as people with depth, humor, tenderness, and a whole world inside them.
This project is ongoing, supported by residencies, travel, and donor funding.
Two exhibitions are already committed, with more in the works.
