Headfirst
Fox have always captivated my attention with their beauty and splendor. There is nothing more magical, for me, than to come across a fox in the woods. I feel honored to be in its presence. Second to that encounter, I have always enjoyed seeing their hunting patterns in the snow while walking in Clifton Gorge. The fox hears movement under the snow, prepared, leaps and lands nose first to it’s prey
This linocut is a representation of what occurred prior to my arrival. The finished work contains all three images in sequence. The fox themselves measure 8” x 9” but the paper is 16” x 10”. Burnt orange with black tips.
