We spent a sun drenched morning wondering around the Phoenix Desert Botanical Garden awe struck by the numerous residence of this beautiful landscape. I watched quite a few birds move around from plant to plant but this one caught my eye. I knew that birds made their homes in cactus but I had never seen this with my own eyes. He perched himself high in the cactus and darted in and out of the sun. A memorable sight and something I just had to make. This is a 9 x 12 black ink linocut printed on off white paper.
